Matthew 3:8

Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance,
Bring forth therefore fruit worthy of repentance:
So produce fruit that is consistent with repentance [demonstrating new behavior that proves a change of heart, and a conscious decision to turn away from sin];
Bring forth fruit that is consistent with repentance [let your lives prove your change of heart];
Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:
Therefore produce fruit consistent with repentance.
Produce fruit that shows you have changed your hearts and lives.
If you have really turned from your sins to God, produce fruit that will prove it!
Do something to show you have really given up your sins.
Produce therefore fruit worthy of repentance.
Therefore produce fruit worthy of repentance.
Bring forth therefore fruit worthy of penance.
Change your hearts! And show by the way you live that you have changed.
You have to show that you are sorry. Change how you live. Stop doing things that God does not like.
Therefore produce fruit in keeping with repentance!
Bear fruit in keeping with repentance.
Bear fruit in keeping with repentance.
·Do the things [L Produce the fruit] ·that show you really have changed your hearts and lives [that prove your repentance; L of repentance].
Bring forth therefore fruit worthy amendment of life,
Do those things that prove you have turned to God and have changed the way you think and act.
Do those things that will show that you have turned from your sins.
Therefore produce fruit consistent with repentance.
You must do the things that show that you have really changed your hearts and lives.
Produce fruit that is consistent with repentance!
But when he saw many Pharisees and Sadducees coming for baptism he said: “Who warned you, you serpent’s brood, to escape from the wrath to come? Go and do something to show that your hearts are really changed. Don’t suppose that you can say to yourselves, ‘We are Abraham’s children’, for I tell you that God could produce children of Abraham out of these stones!
Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance
Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:
Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:
Therefore bear fruit in keeping with repentance;
Therefore produce fruit worthy of repentance!
Before being baptized, prove that you have turned from sin by doing worthy deeds.
When John realized that a lot of Pharisees and Sadducees were showing up for a baptismal experience because it was becoming the popular thing to do, he exploded: “Brood of snakes! What do you think you’re doing slithering down here to the river? Do you think a little water on your snakeskins is going to make any difference? It’s your life that must change, not your skin! And don’t think you can pull rank by claiming Abraham as father. Being a descendant of Abraham is neither here nor there. Descendants of Abraham are a dime a dozen. What counts is your life. Is it green and flourishing? Because if it’s deadwood, it goes on the fire.
Therefore, bear fruit worthy of repentance,
Therefore bear fruit worthy of repentance,
Do those things that prove you have turned to God and have changed the way you think and act.
Produce good fruit as evidence of your repentance.
Therefore produce fruit consistent with repentance;
Therefore bear fruit in keeping with repentance;
Produce good fruit as proof of your repentance.
Do the things that show you really have changed your hearts and lives.
Therefore produce fruit that proves your repentance,
Live in a way that shows you have turned away from your sins.
Produce fruit in keeping with repentance.
Produce fruit in keeping with repentance.
Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance,
Do something to show me that your hearts are changed.
Prove by the way you live that you have repented of your sins and turned to God.
Bring forth therefore the fruits belonging to repentance.
Bear fruit worthy of repentance.
Bear fruit worthy of repentance.
Bear fruit worthy of repentance.
Therefore, bear fruit worthy of repentance,
You’d better prove your repentance by bearing the right sort of fruit!
Produce pri tov l’teshuva (fruit worthy of repentance)!
“Bring forth, therefore, fruit worthy of repentance!
Bear fruit that befits repentance,
Bear fruit that befits repentance,
Therefore produce fruit worthy of repentance;
If you think that simply hopping in the Jordan will cleanse you, then you are sorely mistaken. Your life must bear the fruits of turning toward righteousness. Nor are you correct if you think that being descended from Abraham is enough to make you holy and right with God. Yes, the children of Abraham are God’s chosen children, but God can adopt as daughters and sons anyone He likesHe can turn these stones into sons if He likes.
Therefore produce fruit worthy of repentance!
Stop your wrong ways to show that you have turned back to God.
Therefore do ye worthy fruits of penance,
bear, therefore, fruits worthy of the reformation,
