Psalm 22

From Suffering to Praise

⁴⁶ About three in the afternoon Jesus cried out with a loud voice, “Elí, Elí, lemá^[a] sabachtháni?” that is, “My God, my God, why have you abandoned me?”^[b](A)

⁵⁰ But Jesus cried out again with a loud voice and gave up his spirit.^(A)

³⁴ And at three Jesus cried out with a loud voice, “Eloi, Eloi, lemá sabachtháni?” which is translated, “My God, my God, why have you abandoned me?”^[a](A)

³⁷ Jesus let out a loud cry and breathed his last.

⁴⁶ And Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Father, into your hands I entrust my spirit.”^[a](A) Saying this, he breathed his last.
