¹⁶ Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”^(A)

⁶³ But^(A) Jesus kept silent.^(B) The high priest said to him, “I charge you under oath^(C) by the living God: Tell us if you are the Messiah, the Son of God.”^(D)

⁴¹ Also, demons were coming out of many, shouting and saying, “You are the Son of God!” ^(A) But he rebuked them and would not allow them to speak, because they knew he was the Messiah.^(B)

⁴ When Jesus heard it, he said, “This sickness will not end in death but is for the glory of God,^(A) so that the Son of God^(B) may be glorified through it.”
