¹⁵ So they proclaimed and spread this news throughout their towns and in Jerusalem, saying, “Go out to the hill country and bring back branches of olive, wild olive, myrtle, palm, and other leafy trees to make shelters, just as it is written.”^(A)

¹³ You will all know that I am the Lord when their slain lie among their idols around their altars,^(A) on every high hill,^(B) on all the mountaintops, and under every green tree and every leafy oak—the places where they offered pleasing aromas to all their idols.

²⁸ When I brought them into the land that I swore to give them and they saw any high hill or leafy tree,^(A) they offered their sacrifices and presented their offensive offerings there. They also sent up their pleasing aromas and poured out their drink offerings there.
