³¹ I didn’t know Him,^(A) but I came baptizing with^[a] water so He might be revealed^(B) to Israel.”

Jesus’ Third Appearance to the Disciples

21 After this, Jesus revealed^(A) Himself again to His disciples by the Sea of Tiberias.^[a](B) He revealed Himself in this way:

¹⁴ This was now the third time^[a](A) Jesus appeared^[b](B) to the disciples after He was raised from the dead.

⁴ When the Messiah, who is your^[a] life, is revealed,^(A) then you also will be revealed with Him in glory.^(B)

⁴ And when the chief Shepherd^(A) appears, you will receive the unfading crown^(B) of glory.

God’s Children

²⁸ So now, little children, remain in Him, so that when He appears^(A) we may have boldness and not be ashamed before Him at His coming.^(B)

⁵ You know that He was revealed so that He might take away sins,^[a](A) and there is no sin in Him.^(B)

⁸ The one who commits^[a] sin is of the Devil, for the Devil has sinned from the beginning. The Son of God^(A) was revealed^(B) for this purpose: to destroy the Devil’s works.
