Jeremiah 33:24-26
New American Standard Bible
24 “Have you not observed what these people have asserted, saying, ‘The (A)two families which the Lord chose, He has (B)rejected them’? So they (C)despise My people as no longer being a nation [a]in their sight. 25 This is what the Lord says: ‘If My (D)covenant for day and night does not continue, and I have (E)not established the [b]fixed patterns of heaven and earth, 26 then I would (F)reject the [c]descendants of Jacob and David My servant, so as not to take from his [d]descendants (G)rulers over the [e]descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. But I will (H)restore their fortunes and have (I)mercy on them.’”

2 God (A)has not rejected His people whom He (B)foreknew. (C)Or do you not know what the Scripture says in the passage about Elijah, how he pleads with God against Israel? 3 “Lord, (D)they have killed Your prophets, they have torn down Your altars, and I alone am left, and they are seeking my life.” 4 But what [a]is the divine response to him? “(E)I have kept for Myself seven thousand men who have not bowed the knee to Baal.” 5 In the same way then, there has also come to be at the present time (F)a remnant according to God’s [b]gracious choice.
